Week 4
ACTING
This week we had blocked Alex’s memory, Sophie’s, and parts of the void. I HONESTLY so sorry that on my behalf i was absent today. I let you all down guys, soz! But-the show must go on, and we will pull through. It is evident that there is a connection between Alex and Nia, and i think there is potential to grow on each other. I think on my behalf what i need to practice is that Alex is a ‘mans man’ who gets excited and over-reacts, and doesn’t think before he speaks. Unfortunately thats not really me and i think i have to really grow into Alex and be comfortable with his little. I know that i have to really take risks and not be afraid to do something wrong.
Production-wise, I liked Bethany’s idea of us all in the same white but having individual items. I pictured the void being black and smoky.
AUDIO
This week we had a listen to THE CD. From what i heard people liked it…or did they honestly? I think it really has a good feel for the atmosphere of the show. I also liked Jared’s idea of the cast members making the sound effects, it makes them unique to the scene and gives it a new level of interaction(with cast members and the audience).
Anyways, i think from now on we all need to focus and get straight into what we’re doing. Theatre rocks and 100 is going to be awesome but rome wasn’t built in a day =D
